Sara delivers a performance that’s chock full of special moments, and demands both time and attention. It contains imperfections like the moment Sara “fucked up the words” on “King of Anything,” but those are the charms that make a good live show (or album) such a special experience from a studio recording. I’m excited to share this next stage of my career with each and every one of my fans.”īrave Enough brings that solo tour to anyone who will listen, featuring versions of songs like “Come Round Soon” that bear little resemblance to their studio-album counterparts, previously unrecorded songs like “I Just Want You,” and covers like “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and “Bennie and the Jets.” But months before, she embarked on The Brave Enough. This past July, Sara Bareilles released her fourth album, The Blessed Unrest. “The songs on this album are a true reflection of everything I’ve come to experience in recent months and I’m going to celebrate that with the next most terrifying thing I can do…go back on the road…totally alone. Q&A: Sara Bareilles on Overcoming Her Fear of Playing Solo.

When announcing her single, “ Brave” from that album, Bareilles said: Captured in Atlanta on May 20, 2013, Brave Enough: Live at the Variety Playhouse is a solo live performance by Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles. Maybe theres a way out Of the cage where you live Maybe one of these days You can let the light in Show me How big. Now that I type this out I guess I'm answering my own question and it's just that the Mojo and particularly the M500s are doing so much better that the crap comes through loud and clear.ĭamn, I hadn't realized how much hi-fi would start to 'spoil' music because I can hear the flaws!Brave Enough comes as a product of Bareilles' reflections on her 2013 album The Blessed Unrest. Sara Bareilles - Brave (tradução) (Letra e música para ouvir) - You can be amazing / You can turn a phrase into / A weapon or a drug / You can be the outcast / Or be the backlash / Of somebodys lack of love / Or you can. I start wondering if its the M500s.but other recordings are fine played louder. Anyone have this recording and can confirm? I have a shitty Jabra Biz 2400 USB headset and using JRiver->downsample to 48/24->Jabra over WASAPI (no ASIO available) it's so hard to hear I'm not sure it's even there. I also hear it a little less clearly JRiver->DirectSound->KEF M500 out of the laptop headphone jack but still immediately grating. I hear it clear as day with Jriver->Mojo over ASIO->KEF M500. In track two 'Uncharted' starting at about the 00:01:55 mark I get pulses of distortion easily identifiable at about 3 sec intervals (with the music rhythm) for the next 10 secs or so. I find I'm picking up distortion in recordings and this one is a case in point.

I've always loved and listened to lots of music but only recently spent a lot of time with good (enough) gear.
